We all know that Firefox is the best browser on the Internet with some really awesome features.However developers keep adding new extensions and make it even better.

One of the latest extensions by Firefox is the Session Manager.It can be great help if you accidentally close any window or is the Browser crashes.Although Firefox gives an option to restore previous sessions, sometimes if the computer shuts down and the scan disk truncates unclosed files of Firefox from previous sessions, we are not able to recover the previous session. However Session manager is much more robust utility which would definitely get you your previous tabs back. I have tried it by shutting down my windows and running the scan disk,it still works.

Session Manager saves and restores the state of all windows - either when you want it or automatically at startup and after crashes. Additionally it offers you to reopen (accidentally) closed windows and tabs. If you’re afraid of losing data while surfing, this is a perfect add on!

This extension replaces Session Saver and Tab Mix Plus’ session manager. It stores more data than both of them and should be more reliable in saving and restoring. Although it is not recommended to have more than one session related extension installed, Session Manager is compatible at least with Tab Mix Plus.

Works with:

Firefox version 2.0 and above.(Older version for Firefox 1.5 is available, they say, although I didn’t find any even after a frantic search)

Latest features:
1) CTRL/Command right clicking on an entry in the closed tab/window list will remove it from the list.

2)Tab and window counts for sessions are now displayed in prompt window (restore, save, rename, etc).
