When a new Blogger enters the Blogging arena he has to learn many terms quickly and effectively so that he can make the best of the varing but excellent features existent in the Blogsphere. It can help to spread the word and get the required audience and traffic every Blog requires. However not all the terms and functions are easy to understand. One such term which is often used and often not understood easily is a TRACKBACK.
Now this information is mostly aimed towards a new blogger and blog readers who don’t really know much about it and wonder, what is this Blog jargon I see all over the web?? In this post, I would try to make this as reader-friendly as possible. I would request any reader who know more about this to comment on the article and share the information, or Trackback to it!
To start with; trackback is one of three types of Linkbacks, which are methods for Web authors to request notification when somebody links to one of their posts.
The three types of Linkbacks:
1)Tackback
2)Pingback
3)Refback(rarely used)
So what is a Trackback?
Its a way to tell a particular blog/website that you have published something that references it.
So How does a Trackback help?
Well a trackback or a pingback can be an excellent way to build links and traffic for your blog and in the process build good relationships with bloggers.
Which is more popular Trackback or a Pingback?
Well Trackback is associated with Typepad/Movable-type and WordPress has taken Trackback to a new level by introducing Pingback which is an integrated feature of WordPress. Now we need to understand, how to locate and then send a trackback.

Microsoft on Thursday urged a US Senate Panel to oppose Google’s Purchase of Online Ad Targeting giant DoubleClick, arguing that 3.1 Billion Dollar Deal threatens competition and privacy.
Sources for Microsoft said “If Google and DoubleClick are allowed to merge, Google will become overwhelmingly powerful medium for all forms of online advertising.”
Google in turn defended the deal stating that Worlds leading search engine and DoubleClick were complementary companies and not competitors. Google’s Chief legal Officer David Drummond explained it by saying that the simplest way to look at this is by the way of an Analogy : “DoubleClick is to Google what FedEX is for Amazon”
He also pointed out that rivals like Yahoo, AOL and Microsoft themselves recently acquired Ad-Specialty Firms. Microsoft has agreed to pay six billion dollars for ad-targeting firm aQuantive and Yahoo paid 680 million dollars to acquire Right Media. Also AOL recently bought ad serving companies ADTECH and TACODA,which specialize in behavioral targeting of Online Ads.

Whats this Video about?
Steven Rosenbaum, CEO of Magnify.net, explains in this video how anyone who has a Website or wants to build one can have their own YouTube-like video channel almost overnight.
How does this work?
The Magnify.net platform searches video channels like YouTube looking for cool videos that match the keywords that you enter, and then posts them on your Website.
So whats in it for me?
Well, Isn’t it obvious,You get Great Video Content and also there is revenue sharing as Magnify.net and the Website owner then share Google Adsense revenues 50-50, each time the video/webpage is viewed.
If you wanna know more….just watch the video.

Recently I received a note in my Adsense account that I have now qualify to show Google referrals 2.0. First of all we must know what the referrals ads are all about. They are PPA (Pay Per Action) Ads in which a publisher/webmaster gets paid after the website visitor has clicked on the Ad and actually signed up for the product or the service. So, What is the difference between the previous Google Referrals and Google referrals 2.0. According to Google it’s :
Expanded product inventory: While many of you have had success referring one of our google products, some of you weren’t able to find a product that fit the context of your site. Google Referrals 2.0 offers products from thousands of AdWords advertisers, so you can find the right ads for your sites.
