Backup your Mobile Phone Address Book and SMS Messages Online
Cell phones have now become a part of our daily lives and many of us can’t imagine what we would do without one. But the most important thing about a cell phone is the information stored in it. Do you use your cell phone SIM card to store the important contact numbers of your friends, family and business contacts and more?
If thats the case, it’s all vital you to backup the cell phone’s address book else imagine the case when you lose your cell phone or it gets stolen?
Most cellular companies nowadays offer backup services for a nominal fee while many new cell phones can transfer and sync contact data to your computer through USB cable, Bluetooth or external memory cards.
We are now going to look at a web based service called Zyb that allows you to backup all your mobile phone numbers online. Zyb is an international mobile phone backup service and chances are fairly high that it supports your phone model and your phone operator. Zyb service backs up and syncs your cell phone’s contacts and calendar data so that you’ll never have to go through the pain of manually entering in contacts on a new phone again.
How does it work?
The process is fairly simple and quick, I received the code and the setting within one minute. You create an account on Zyb website by typing your phone number, selecting your phone model and your cellular operator. You will soon receive an SMS confirmation code and you’re all set to store your mobile content on Zyb website.
After you have received the code and entered it, ZYB will then sync your cell phone with your account on ZYB.
After your Cell phone is synchronized, you are taken to the dashboard where your details are displayed. The Dashboard below shows my Nokia N-Gage QD Game Deck, which is my secondary cell phone, getting its own account.
So, What does Zyb offer that others don’t?
Zyb can store unlimited cell phone contact numbers, calendar and SMS text messages without asking you to download any software on your cell phone. It can even sync your data online when you add or update contact information. Support for iPod sync in expected soon. However you can Sync your outlook with Zyb.
Not just backup, Zyb will prove useful when your are upgrading your old mobile phone to a new sleek model or are moving from one cellular operator to another - you don’t have to manually re-enter contact numbers anymore. If you have two or more contact numbers, you can keep the address book and calendar of all your mobiles in sync with each other all the time using Zyb.
As if that wasn’t cool enough, it does more. After you start using Zyb, you can enter new contacts and calendar information online, and Zyb will sync them with your phone. What’s more, you can share contacts with other Zyb users, so you and your friends and family can all stay synchronized at all times!
Oh, and did I mention Zyb is totally free? If you give it a try, let us know how it works for you in the comments.

This is great you can save space in the hard disk of your phone. One just need to have an account to ZYB and presto you can have your contacts and calendar info save in your account. What more, you have the capability of backing up your old phone and save those old files in your new phone.

If you don’t want to mess with online data storage, you can simply back up the data directly to your PC using Mobile Data Viewer.
